Mark Judson - Ceramics

I have been producing ceramic pieces on and off since my university days, long enough ago to have forgotten exactly when!  Our move to France in 2005, and setting up my studio here at Chenevaux, has enabled me to spend more time developing my ideas for ceramic pieces as well as paintings.  I sometimes try to combine effects in a painting in the glazes on a pot.  Glazing and textural effects using different materials such as sand, glass and small amounts of different clay are a constant source of interest.  The following photos show thrown, hand built and slip cast pieces in stoneware, porcelain and earthenware.
